Trafford – Manchester
We are pleased to announce the successful completion of a vital project at Trafford General Hospital, enhancing the facility’s emergency power capabilities.
This initiative involved the installation of over 4,000 meters of generator backup cable & all gland and termination, designed to upgrade the hospital’s emergency power systems. To ensure smooth operations and minimise disruption to the live hospital environment, our team completed this work over multiple visits, coordinating closely with the main contractor who implemented traffic management systems.
Utilising a 5-ton GrundoWinch and a 5.2-ton drum trailer, the JHCS team adeptly handled the logistical challenges of the installation which involved cabling through various live plant rooms, and over the roof of the hospital. The careful planning and execution ensured efficient traffic flow while prioritising the safety of both our workers and the hospital.
The upgraded emergency power supply will significantly enhance the hospital’s operational resilience, ensuring that critical services remain uninterrupted during power outages.
We are dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions and services to our clients, ensuring that essential facilities like Trafford General Hospital (the first ever NHS hospital in the UK!) are well-equipped to serve the community effectively.
Our client expressed their satisfaction with the efficiency and professionalism demonstrated throughout the installation process.
