JHCS Celebrates Major BESS Installation in York Supporting UK’s Green Energy Goals

JHCS is proud to announce the successful progression of a significant Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in York, supporting the UK’s transition toward sustainable and resilient energy solutions.

Our skilled team has meticulously installed essential medium-voltage (MV) cabling, including 8,000 meters of 630mm² 33kV cable and 4,000 meters of 400mm² 33kV main cable, ensuring reliable power transfer for the energy storage facility

Cleated 630mm2 33kvh single-core cables cleated in Trifoil to Ladder rack and through ducts.

Equipped with advanced machinery such as a 14-meter telehandler, 7.2-ton drum trailers, and a 5kN Omac winch, we mobilised efficiently to meet project timelines while adhering to strict safety standards.

This project underscores JHCS’s commitment to delivering safe, professional, and high-quality HV, MV, and LV cabling solutions across the renewable energy sector. As a trusted partner, we continue to support innovative projects that promote sustainable energy and infrastructure development.
