JHCS recently completed a major LV upgrade at Salford Council Depot to improve electrical reliability and capacity.
We installed new underground cables from a new LV panel, including ladder racking and an adaptable box for cable entries. Inside the substation, we upgraded from a single-phase to a modern three-phase system to meet increased demand.
All connections were made during a planned shutdown to minimise disruption. After asbestos removal, we tested, decommissioned, and removed old equipment to ensure a safe, compliant, and fully operational system.
This project strengthens the depot’s electrical infrastructure for future growth.
