We are pleased to announce the successful completion of a significant project at the newly developed St Martin’s Court, part of the Lancaster Extra Care Facilities Unit, built by Progress Housing Group. Located on Golgotha Road, off Coulston Road, Lancaster. This innovative facility is designed to enhance the quality of life for individuals aged 55 and over, offering a total of 92 self-contained one- and two-bedroom apartments.
As part of our commitment to supporting this vital community resource, JHCS carried out essential mains installation work over the past weekend. Our cable team expertly winched in the mains using a diesel winch, ensuring a safe and efficient installation process. Meanwhile, our jointers connected the cables in the substation, enabling the facility to receive a reliable power supply to support its residents’ daily lives.
St Martin’s Court is going to be dedicated to providing independent living with on-site support and care, featuring communal lounges, a hairdressing salon, assisted bathing, and beautifully landscaped gardens. The successful installation of the mains connection plays a crucial role in powering these amenities, allowing residents to enjoy a comfortable and engaging living environment.
We planned a weekend shutdown to facilitate our work, allowing for a seamless connection without disruption to the site. Our team’s commitment to excellence and safety was paramount throughout the project, and we are proud to contribute to this important installation.
