JHCS has just completed an extensive cable installation at Shotton Tissue Mill, a site in Deeside, North Wales, that is undergoing a remarkable £1 billion redevelopment. Our team successfully completed the installation of over 16,000 metres of single AWA cable, marking a significant milestone in this ambitious transformation.
The redevelopment project aims to convert the former newsprint mill into one of Europe’s largest and most advanced paper and tissue production facilities. Once completed, the plant will produce an impressive 750,000 tonnes of containerboard and 67,000 tonnes of tissue paper annually, all while utilising 100% recycled materials and emphasising sustainability. This not only represents a major step forward for the paper industry but also aligns with our commitment to supporting environmentally responsible practices.
The extensive installation of AWA cable plays a crucial role in enhancing the operational efficiency and reliability of the new facility. Our expert team worked diligently to ensure that the installation met the highest standards, minimising disruption to ongoing construction operations.
Safety and precision were top priorities throughout the project, and we take pride in our ability to deliver high-quality electrical solutions that contribute to such innovative ventures. The transformation of the Shotton Tissue Mill is an exciting development for the local community and the industry as a whole.
At JHCS, we are dedicated to collaborating with our clients to deliver exceptional service and results. We look forward to more opportunities to contribute to projects that drive progress and sustainability.
